Building the Foundation
The 10U division builds upon the basics learned in 8U, introducing more structured gameplay and refining fundamental skills. Players begin to understand their specific positions and responsibilities.
What Parents Should Expect
- Skill Refinement: More advanced stick work, including dodging, shooting techniques, and defensive positioning
- Game Strategy: Introduction to offensive and defensive concepts, including picks and clears
- Physical Development: Light contact introduced, focus on body positioning and footwork
- Competitive Play: Scores are kept, but emphasis remains on learning and improvement
- Practice Commitment: Regular practice attendance becomes more important for skill development
Developmental Goals
