Spring Registration Update

We are updating our website platform to align with our League's new system. This robust platform addresses many challenges we've faced in managing rosters and games efficiently.

The registration process will change. Here are the key differences:

Installment Payments: We now offer 4 installment periods to help with registration fees. If you register in October, you'll make a down payment followed by 4 monthly installments of $75 each, due on the 15th. Unlike TeamSnap, our new service requires catch-up payments to the current month.

Example: If you register in October for ES with a $50 down payment, each subsequent $75 payment will be due on the 15th. Registering in November after the 15th means a cumulative payment for October and November ($125), with remaining payments split from December 15th onward.

October — Down payment if registered before 11/1/2024

November — 1st payment of $75 due 11/15/2024

December — 2nd payment of $75 due 12/15/2024

January — 3rd payment of $75 due 1/15/2025

February — 4th payment of $75 due 2/15/2025

SVLC Code Discounts: We use codes for special circumstances, including multi-player discounts. If you receive a code, apply it to the relevant player during registration. The discount will be applied at checkout.

Multi-Player Discounts: Families with more than one player receive a $50 discount on each additional player, up to four players. Email admin@simivalleylacrosse.com for your discount code.

Refunds: To prepare for unforeseen events like COVID that might cancel our season, we've implemented a secure insurance option.

  1. Vertical Insure: This registration insurance covers your fee in various circumstances, including illness, injury, family death, and active military service for a parent/guardian. The policy cost varies based on the insured amount, with a $7 minimum. It's included in your registration total at checkout, and you'll receive an email from Vertical Insure with your policy details. Click here for more information.
  2. After purchasing a policy, you'll receive an email from Vertical Insure with your policy ID/Number. Check your inbox (search for "Vertical Insure") or spam folder. You can also visit the Vertical Insure Customer Portal (customers.verticalinsure.com). For assistance, email support@verticalinsure.com with the email address used for registration, including the policyholder's and participant's names.

Direct Refunds: While we've previously offered 100% refunds for pre-season injuries, purchasing insurance for a small fee now provides a more convenient refund process for both you and us.

Uniforms: When ordering boys' uniforms, size up to accommodate pads. Use this sizing chart for guidance

Waitlists: We'll be capping team sizes later in the registration process. Register early to secure your player's spot. Once we reach our limits, we'll start a waiting list and either open another team or help you apply for a waiver to play in a nearby program.

After Spring Registration closes, we'll assign your child to a team and notify you via TeamSnap email. Coaches will use TeamSnap to communicate about team activities. Download the mobile app (available for iPhone and Android) to stay updated.

US Lacrosse Membership

We encourage players to sign up for US Lacrosse membership due to its many benefits, especially for those continuing in the sport. It's often required for participation in other lacrosse teams and tournaments. The membership lasts a year, providing benefits beyond our spring season. Note that SCLA will require all players to be US Lacrosse members next year.

Stars Teams Tryouts

Simi Valley Lacrosse may field both Stars and Stripes teams for the SCLA spring season. The Stars level represents the highest tier of lacrosse in the SCLA, designed for the most skilled players.

We'll use coach selections or open tryouts to choose Stars team players.

Coaches will select Stars & Stripes teams based on skills, athleticism, and team position needs. Typical "Stars" level players have several years of experience and participate in Summer and/or Winter club travel teams.

Both teams focus on skill development, team play, game strategy, and improving overall lacrosse IQ before high school. At the Stars level, all players participate in every game, but playing time may vary depending on game situations.

Tryouts aren't mandatory for everyone. If you prefer not to play on the Stars team, we'll automatically place you on the Stripes team. We'll announce Stars team rosters shortly after tryouts.
